Job Title: Health Support Assistant

At our institution, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Health Support Assistant. This position involves maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of our pharmacy premises, providing support to operational supervisors, and contributing to the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining general tidiness and cleanliness of the pharmacy area and waiting area.
  • Ensuring that dispensing consumables (e.g., plastic bags & spoons) are topped up at the dispensing counters daily.
  • Replenishing brochures/pamphlets at the waiting area.
  • Assisting in inventory management tasks, including receiving goods delivered by vendors and monitoring stock levels of pre-packed medications.

The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, be a team player, and demonstrate self-motivation and a service-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping activities in the pharmacy, such as clearing carton boxes.
  • Ensuring that all stocks are kept under appropriate storage conditions and making sure that the storage areas are clean, neat, and tidy at all times.
  • Performing general tasks related to automation, including repackaging and barcoding of medications and assisting storekeepers with loading approved drugs into ROWA or DDS systems.

The selected candidate will work closely with our ISS team to monitor their cleaning works and assist in waste disposal of pharmaceuticals. Additionally, they may be involved in workplace improvement projects and provide training to new staff members as required.
