The Role
At the heart of our operations lies a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. We manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through multiple banking delivery channels.
As a seasoned professional in Trade Finance, you will lead and supervise a team of Trade LC Advising processor, digital Imaging Team and Trade Counter via 2 locations in terms of resource management, training and daily BAU challenges.
- Transaction Processing: Process and/or check Trade Finance Letter of Credit (LC) Advising / Confirmation transactions to ensure compliance to UCP rules, industrial standards, and internal bank policies.
- SOP Evaluation: Evaluate existing SOPs and controls, and assist in implementing new ones as required.
- Export LC Review: Review and check export LCs to ensure that terms and conditions are acceptable and workable for LC confirmation.
- Trade Documentation: Maintain trade documentations and ongoing processes in compliance with UCP rules, ISP98 rules, anti-money laundering guidelines, terrorist financing and sanctions regulations, and other related internal policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily tasks assigned.
- Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with team members, external clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Operational Efficiency: Assist in reviewing and opining on New Product/Processing involving or impacting LC advising Team, Digital Imaging Team, and counter service Team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of Trade Finance experience.
- Relevant capability in people management and leadership.
- Excellent understanding of UCP rules, ISP98 rules, Anti-Money Laundering Guidelines, and Terrorist Financing and Sanction Regulations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Capacity to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
