Job Overview

As a Senior Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of static equipment and packages.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • You will review and check specifications, data sheets, calculations, and technical deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • You will prepare technical documentation and evaluate vendor bids to optimize project costs and timelines.
  • You will collaborate with internal disciplines and external parties to coordinate layout and interface matters.
  • You will review vendor documents, manage vendors, and support inspection and QA/QC requirements.
  • You will participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), site surveys, Hazard Operability studies (HAZOPs), shop inspections, and provide support during construction and commissioning.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of ASME codes, storage tank design, boiler/furnace operations, and industrial package design principles is essential.
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as PVElite and COMPRESS is an asset.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and communication skills to lead cross-functional teams are required.
  • Prior experience in field engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting is essential.
