Job Title: Marine Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet management and technical oversight are essential for the success of our organization.
  • Manage and supervise a team of superintendents, engineers, and technical support staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Timely and cost-effective execution of maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and upgrades is critical to maintaining vessel performance.
  • Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions when required to optimize technical performance.
  • Regulatory compliance and safety standards must be maintained at all times, ensuring all vessels meet international, flag state, and class regulations.
  • Enforce safety and environmental standards onboard all vessels and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Crewing, HSEQ, and Procurement to achieve organizational goals.
  • Provide technical reports and updates to senior management as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and management skills are necessary for supervising a team of technical personnel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to liaise with Masters and Chief Engineers.
  • Ability to monitor and control OPEX and CAPEX expenditures while preparing and managing technical budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for evaluating and selecting suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.
