Technical Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Operations Manager to join our team in Singapore. This role requires the incumbent to have extensive experience working on tanker vessels and currently overseeing a fleet of tankers onshore.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and machinery health, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Plan and supervise routine maintenance, dry-dockings, and repairs, coordinating with onboard crew and third-party service providers.
  4. Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Manage budgets for assigned vessels, track expenditures, and control costs, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  6. Investigate technical incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  7. Assist in the development and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, driving innovation and reducing environmental impact.
Requirements:
  • Chief Engineer certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience working on ME-C engines, with a proven track record of success.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Technical Superintendent or similar role, with expertise in tanker vessel management.
  • Completed several dry docks and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and vessel management software, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel inspections, audits, and dry dock supervision, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
