Job Title: Storage Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Storage Project Manager to lead the implementation and management of storage infrastructure.

About the Role:
  • Lead storage infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Provide technical expertise on PowerEdge rack servers, including their capabilities and use cases, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on PowerScale nodes workflow, node model details, and adding new nodes to the cluster to enhance team knowledge.
  • Compare and contrast structured and unstructured data on PowerScale, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimizing data management.
  • Explain the application of Isilon with Big data and data management and security features to ensure secure data handling practices.
  • Describe the physical architecture of Isilon and its OneFS operating system to support informed decision-making.
  • Discuss PowerScale concepts and their relevance to storage management, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Compare and contrast VMAX and PowerMax array models, including configuration options and hardware components, to optimize storage solutions.
  • Describe the VMAX All Flash and VMAX3 family of arrays, including their features and use cases, to inform technology investments.
  • Explain serviceability access and activities for PowerMax, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Identify hardware components and provide an introductory understanding of VMAX All Flash Solution to support ongoing development.
Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills, including leadership, planning, and execution, to drive successful storage infrastructure projects.
  • Technical expertise in PowerEdge, PowerScale, VMAX, and PowerMax storage solutions, with in-depth knowledge of PowerEdge rack servers, PowerScale nodes workflow, and Isilon technology.
  • Able to compare and contrast structured and unstructured data, as well as data management and security features, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with VMAX and PowerMax array models, including configuration options and hardware components, to optimize storage solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the physical architecture of Isilon and its OneFS operating system, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Able to explain PowerScale concepts and their relevance to storage management, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects, and adapting to changing circumstances.
