Job Title

The Site Engineer (Building) is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position includes:

  • Monitoring and reviewing master construction programs and preparing catch-up programs if necessary.
  • Supervising engineers and foremen to ensure compliance with quality procedures and standards of workmanship.
  • Reviewing the quality and quantity of work performed by subcontractors.
  • Preparing detailed programs for site teams to follow and complete in time.
  • Resolving drawing discrepancies and technical difficulties with the Technical team.
  • Preparing detailed method statements and work instructions for construction projects.
  • Coordinating between subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments, as well as monitoring site manpower, material, and equipment demands to meet schedules.
  • Liaising with consultants on submission-related issues regarding structural works and the Technical Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning all site works, including program schedules and construction methods.
  • Forecasting equipment, material, and manpower requirements, and controlling usage and wastages.
  • Ensuring that site works are completed with high-quality standards and adhering to safety requirements throughout the project.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University

• Prior 3 years experience in building projects

• Associate level seniority

• Full-time employment
