Senior Piping Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Piping Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the piping engineering activities in our projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping engineering solutions that meet the project requirements, schedule, and budget. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless execution of the project.

  • Review project documents from clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Responsible for deliverables within schedule, quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) plan, contractual requirements, and project specifications.
  • Ensures technical deliverables align with project specifications, schedule, and within budgeted cost.
  • Coordinates with Lead Engineers, Leads of other disciplines, and project support functions such as procurement and planning.
  • May provide guidance to junior specialist engineers on specific scopes within the project.
  • Review other discipline deliverables and provide input.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Industry-specific experience: Minimum 10 years in FEED and detail engineering of FPSO, offshore platforms, and wellhead platforms.
  • Area lead experience of one large size FPSO project.
  • Codes and regulations, standards/specifications, and methodologies.
  • ASME, API, and ISO standards.
  • Job-specific knowledge: Sound capability in interpreting and applying local and international engineering design.
  • Able to execute 3D projects with data-centric project execution.
  • Competent with procedures for preparation and checking of calculations, documents, and drawings for complex plants FEED and detail engineering of FPSO.
  • Competent in carrying out stress calculations using Caesar II software.
  • Knowledge of piping material codes and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
