This position requires a highly skilled professional to administer and implement an effective Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparation for third-party external safety audit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental, health and safety audits, and be able to conduct them as per requirements.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local laws, preparing and conducting EHS training for all employees, measuring and monitoring WSH performance, and performing ECO duties as assigned. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective Earth Control Measures (ECM) plans, supervising ECM implementation, and devising ECM operations.
The role also involves being responsible for maintenance and inspection programs on site, assisting Qualified Erosion Control Professionals (QECPs) to monitor effectiveness, and obtaining Clearance Certificates from Public Utilities Boards (PUBs). Any other duties assigned by superiors or management must also be carried out.
Requirements
- A Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor's Degree in Workplace Safety and Health-related fields and a certificate in ECO are essential.
- Candidates must be registered with NEA and IES.
- A minimum of 3 years' work experience relevant to the work to be carried out by a ECO cum ECMO is required.
