Job Title: R&D Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the preparation and production of food prototypes using standardized procedures.
  • The ideal candidate will accurately measure and mix ingredients, following formulations and safety protocols.
  • Responsibilities include operating basic food processing equipment such as mixers, ovens, and blenders.
  • The selected candidate will label, package, and store prototypes in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • A key aspect of this role is maintaining a clean and organized lab environment and supporting sanitation procedures.
  • Accurate record-keeping is essential, including production data, process notes, and observations.
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and safety protocols is crucial.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food lab, kitchen, or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently completed a program in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks is essential.
  • Lifting ingredients and equipment (up to ~25 lbs) may be required.
  • Flexibility with working hours is necessary depending on production schedules.
