Pharmacy Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate preparation and administration of medications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting pharmacists with the compounding of sterile preparations such as parenteral nutrition, IV admixtures, chemotherapy infusions, and eye drops;
- Preparing extemporaneous oral syrups and other medications as required;
- Performing administrative duties including inventory management and billing;
- Maintaining cleanroom standards and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice principles;
- Facilitating patient care by processing medication orders, typing, packing, and dispensing medications.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A diploma in Pharmaceutical Science from a reputable institution or equivalent qualification;
- Work experience in hospital or cleanroom processes, although not essential, is advantageous;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict protocols when handling sensitive information.
