Job Title: Pharmacy Support Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our healthcare team as a Pharmacy Support Specialist. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medication management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Processing: You will be responsible for processing medication orders in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: You will manage inventory levels, including counting, sorting, and typing prescriptions, as well as reviewing and updating inventory levels based on consumption.
  • Billing and Payment: You will perform billing functions and ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Customer Service: You will provide professional and courteous service to all patients/customers.
  • Quality Assurance: You will oversee storage conditions, expiry checks, audits, and reporting of defects of drug products within the institution.
  • Stock Control: You will plan and ensure that cycle counts and stock takes are conducted accurately and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science qualification.
