Job Title: Academic Support Specialist

As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in the academic growth and development of students.

Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Learning Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering educational programs that meet the needs of diverse learners. You will work with students in a group setting, conducting assessments, developing teaching methods, and monitoring academic progress.

  • Conduct lessons in a group setting (5 to 6 students in a class).
  • Conduct assessments at least twice a year in a group setting.
  • Develop teaching methods and instructional materials that meet young learners' varying needs.
  • Monitor the academic progress of the students.
  • Write progress reports, share information, and discuss issues relating to students' learning progress with parents during the school terms.
  • Conduct Meet-the-Parents sessions at the end of each semester (twice a year).
  • Be involved in the conduct of awareness talks and training courses.
  • Be engaged in curriculum and resource design and development, action research, and pilot studies.
  • Participate in any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree from a recognized institution or university, in any discipline.
  • Relevant teaching experience in mainstream schools will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekday evenings and weekends.
