Job Title: Sourcing and Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers based on price, quality and delivery time.
  • Source quotations from various vendors, compare prices and negotiate better terms.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery by coordinating with the suppliers.

Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities.
  • Conduct supplier qualification and performance evaluation to ensure optimal results.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding order status, changes or issues.

Inventory and Order Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the inventory team to determine purchase needs.
  • Track incoming shipments and verify goods received against specifications.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to resolve any discrepancies in quantity or quality.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, contracts and supplier databases.
  • Support cost analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.

Cost and Process Optimisation:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by renegotiating supplier contracts.
  • Support process improvements to streamline procurement activities.
  • Coordinate timely payment processing with the finance department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or inventory control, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and handle procurement orders efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing.
  • Proficiency in English is required to facilitate business discussions. Proficiency in any other Asian language would be an added advantage.
