Job Description

As a skilled Meat Cutter, you will play a vital role in supporting the profitable operations of our meat department.

Responsibilities include cutting product from primals, working with pre-packed products, and managing inventory levels to meet financial expectations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing polite and friendly service to customers
  • Preparing product for sale according to company standards
  • Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case
  • Provides special customer service requests such as special cuts, slicing, etc.
  • Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas
  • Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale
  • Communicate temperature failures to supervisor
  • Announce meat department sale items on the PA system
  • Assist in product receiving and storage
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Previous meat cutting experience
  • Meat cutting skill test qualifications
