The role of an Accounting and Billing Specialist involves generating and sending accurate invoices to customers. Ensuring that billing aligns with company policies and client agreements is crucial in maintaining a positive business relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and Billing: Generate and send accurate invoices to clients, ensuring billing follows company policies and payment terms, review client accounts, correct billing errors and discrepancies promptly.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Input billing data into the accounting or billing system, maintain detailed records of transactions, invoices, and payment histories, ensure client and payment information is up-to-date.
- Customer Service: Address client billing inquiries, resolve disputes, provide support regarding billing and payment concerns, assist clients with payment plans and resolving invoice issues.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate regular reports on billing and payment statuses for management, reconcile accounts receivable balances, maintain accurate records for financial reports.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure billing practices comply with regulations, company policies, and industry standards, assist in audits by providing documentation and supporting information.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable handling data entry and reports.
