As a senior research professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of scientists to drive cutting-edge virology research and support the Principal Scientific Officer for the virology section of a renowned public health agency.


The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting innovative research projects that inform public health policy decisions, develop and implement new cell culture-based systems and assays for viruses of significant public health concern. Additionally, they will manage and participate in data analysis and interpretation of scientific results, assist in preparing research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grants, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance the agency's research goals.


To excel in this role, applicants must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in fields such as virology, microbiology, biological sciences or related areas. Familiarity with developing and implementing cell-culture based virus assays for public health needs is essential, along with expertise in analysing and reporting research results and outcomes. Effective communication skills, including for research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grants, are also crucial. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
