Job Title: Lead/Senior Scientific Officer

  • The role requires a professional to lead a team of scientists, oversee research projects and support the Principal Scientist in conducting virology work.

  • Key responsibilities include designing and conducting research related to virology, supporting rapid response to outbreaks, training laboratory staff and participating in collaborations with national and international public health partners.

  • Requirements include at least 5 years of experience in fields such as virology, microbiology or biological sciences, familiarity with developing and implementing cell-culture based virus assays and effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects and possess BSL-3 experience or willingness to be trained to work with infectious virus in a BSL-3 facility.
