Senior Director, Public Policy, Asia Pacific

\


\

Key responsibilities include developing key projects under ISDA's Asia Pacific Public Policy strategy and contributing to the development and execution of Global Public Policy strategies.

\

Knowledgeable about relevant policy issues for reliable information provision and acting as a role model for the Policy team.

\

Represent ISDA at policy forums and conferences where Asia Pacific Public Policy issues are discussed.

\

Leading high-impact working groups in new areas.

\

Manage colleagues across the policy team, establish strong relationships with ISDA members, and provide support on Asia Pacific public policy issues.

\

Advocacy:

\

Advises and executes the development of public policy strategies to support member priorities.

\

Liaises and builds relationships with policymakers, regulators, government agencies, international standard-setting bodies, and opinion leaders.

\

Educates government officials, members, and employees on important issues and supports strategic debates.

\

Maintains and strengthens ISDA's reputation through education and advocacy.

\

Internal Collaboration:

\

Work closely with public policy teams across different offices and cross-functional teams for integrated organizational goals.

\

Drafting and Reporting:

\

Ability to write compelling briefing papers synthesizing member input.

\

Market Knowledge:

\

Research topics and news related to members and issues dealt with.

\

Stay well-versed in current issues affecting ISDA members.

\

Research and analysis of legislation and regulatory proposals.

\

Qualifications:

\

Desirable qualifications include a degree in political sciences, history, law, or economics, further financial qualifications, and strong knowledge of derivatives markets and regulation.

\

Strong verbal and written communication skills with good facilitation and presentation skills.

\

Excellent consultative ability and interpersonal skills.

\

Able to promote change and manage resistance.

\

Strong working knowledge of European Public Policy regarding Derivatives.

\

Deep knowledge of the public policy environment in India.

\

Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

\

Frequent travel throughout the Asia Pacific region may be necessary.

\

Minimum 4 years experience operating at Senior Director/Executive Director level in a public policy role in financial services.
