Job Title: Ambulatory Surgery Ward Patient Service Associate
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Service Associate in the Ambulatory Surgery Ward. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering friendly, efficient customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers/patients. This includes ensuring that the Operating Theatre and Endoscopy Centre Lists are arranged accordingly and efficiently, making reminder calls and confirmation of procedural appointments with patients for all surgical areas, and ensuring that the daily scheduling of procedures is done in a timely and organized manner.
In addition, the candidate will be required to provide financial counseling and bowel preparation instructions for direct access patients, and provide adequate information to patients regarding their scheduled operations. The role also involves assisting in providing solutions and advice on enquiries for patients, working with other department stakeholders to ensure a smooth journey for patients, and participating in quality improvement projects.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, and have proficient computer skills. You should also be comfortable working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed, and be flexible with shift work.
