DC Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a DC Operations Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our Data Centre, and we require an individual who can demonstrate expertise in various areas.

Job Description:

This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of our Data Centre, including monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and performing maintenance tasks. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that all activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

  • Manage the centralized network operations management system, ensuring that incidents are responded to and attended to in a timely manner.
  • Fulfill customer requests and manage system performance metrics.
  • Benchmark system performance across multiple data centres and present findings to management.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting network connections related to Building Management Systems (BMS), Environment Monitoring Systems (EMS), and Power Quality Management Systems (PQMS). Your analytical skills will enable you to read, understand, and digest data collected from various systems, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering or IT with at least 4 years of experience in DC Operations.
  • Good knowledge of Data Centre Facilities and Operations Support, as well as Data Centre Operations Best Practice.
  • Possess Basic Certificate of Infocomm Technology and ITIL Foundation Level Certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
