Data Centre Operations and Maintenance Role Overview

Our organisation seeks a skilled Data Centre Operations and Maintenance professional to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our data centre facilities. This role requires a strong background in building technologies, mechanical and electrical services, as well as experience in data centre facility management and vendor management.

  • Manage the operations and maintenance of data centre facilities, ensuring all systems are running efficiently.
  • Oversee the mechanical, electrical, and building systems, ensuring they meet performance and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage service contracts and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Coordinate project execution for new installations or upgrades.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting technical issues in the facility.
  • Implement best practices in facility management, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Monitor facility performance, ensuring optimal uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal teams to plan preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of building technologies, mechanical and electrical systems, and facilities management. They must also have proven experience in data centre facility management and vendor management, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and project management experience is preferred.
