Key Role: HVAC Project Engineer
About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Project Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include participating in the design, calculations, and preparation of bills of materials for complex HVAC projects. You will also be responsible for liaising with customers and suppliers to address technical queries and ensure alignment with project requirements.
In addition, you will contribute to the preparation and submission of design and construction documents. This will involve conducting technical reviews and providing clarification on engineering matters with clients and vendors.
You will also coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration. During the construction phase, you will support installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Your key objectives will include identifying the company's scope of work within each assigned project and monitoring and tracking the status of document submissions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills and a solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals. You should have expertise in HVAC system calculations, including cooling capacity, pressure drop, and duct sizing.
Additionally, you should have experience in HVAC and duct installation, as well as familiarity with creating and interpreting P&ID diagrams, air flow diagrams, and DID diagrams. Basic knowledge of pipe sizing, selection, and installation is also essential.
You should be proficient in AutoCAD for drawing and design, as well as competent in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
A minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
