Senior Actuarial Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our APAC Personal Lines Pricing and Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for delivering actuarially sound pricing analysis for new business opportunities, rate reviews, rate change recommendations, and impact analyses of existing businesses.

This role involves collaborating with local and regional business teams, underwriting teams on strategic initiatives to achieve profitable growth and business goals. You will be a go-to source for help and support due to your deep technical knowledge and expertise.

The ideal candidate will have strong actuarial experience, preferably in pricing and portfolio management of personal lines business, including Accident & Health, Auto, and Home insurance. They will possess proven proficiency in actuarial concepts and methodologies, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and thorough understanding of general insurance, including underwriting policies, claims handling policies, and local legislation.

You will also have the ability to manage tight deadlines, priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication, both written and verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with a strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.

  • Deliver actuarially sound pricing analysis for new business opportunities, rate reviews, rate change recommendations, and impact analyses of existing businesses.
  • Collaborate with local and regional business teams, underwriting teams on strategic initiatives to achieve profitable growth and business goals.
  • Maintain robust portfolio management and monitoring of rate levels, rate changes, and rate adequacy.
  • Proactively engage with underwriters and business teams sharing and discussing insights and findings from analysis, with recommendations on rate or underwriting actions to improve profitability.
  • Support profit studies and development of budget loss ratios for assigned countries and segments.
