Job Description

(What the role is)
The primary function of this position is to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations for local food establishments. The officer will be part of SFA's enforcement team, working closely with other agencies to ensure a safe supply of food in Singapore.

  • Plan and conduct inspections and surveys to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements for local food establishments.
  • Attend to food safety feedback in licensed food establishments, including One Health (OH) and non-OH gastroenteritis incidents.
  • Conduct enforcement against any breaches of food safety legislations and licensing conditions.
  • Support service of exigencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Adaptive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Team player, good interpersonal skills and resourceful.
  • Knowledge and experience in food-related disciplines will be an advantage.
  • Ability to use basic suite of Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
