The Global Export Control Specialist will be a key member of the East Asia & Pacific export control team, driving Schneider Electric's export control program and ensuring compliance with international and national regulations.
This role involves frequent training sessions, stakeholder engagement, management, monitoring, and communication of regulatory changes and updates.
The successful candidate will oversee adherence to export control and sanctions regulations, provide guidance on classification, licensing, reporting, and export program development and management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and enhance the global export control program as part of the East Asia & Pacific team.
- Lead, coordinate, or support export control classification-related projects and activities for East Asia & Pacific.
- Oversee adherence to export control and sanctions regulations in the East Asia & Pacific region and provide guidance representing the East Asia & Pacific team.
- Be a subject-matter expert on East Asia & Pacific export control and sanctions regulations.
- Monitor export control and sanctions regulations, understand impacts on business operations, and provide timely updates to corporate and regional management.
- Conduct reviews and audits at Schneider Electric sites, generate reports to senior management, and lead improvement activities.
- Perform training of personnel at all levels on export control and sanctions regulations.
- Develop procedures ensuring adherence to export control and sanctions related regulations.
- Work closely with appointed/management personnel, export control operations managers, and Single Points of Contact (SPOCs) to ensure continuous improvement of export control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree helpful.
- Competent export control experience required, preferably in a multinational company.
- 10-15 years of detailed and extensive knowledge and experience in East Asia, Pacific, and International Export Control & Sanctions related regulations.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
