Logistics Operations Lead Position

The successful Logistics Operations Lead will be responsible for the smooth execution of our logistics operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our warehouse runs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead and coordinate daily activities of shipment transportation, guaranteeing timely delivery and seamless workflow.
  • Direct and improve operational flow within the warehouse, implementing process enhancements to optimize productivity.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve ad-hoc and day-to-day operational issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Provide regular reports and data to inform strategic decision-making and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to address routine and complex needs, fostering strong relationships.
  • Manage transport transactions and report on shipment movement, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
  • Deploy resources based on daily activities, balancing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Monitor and enhance productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, with a strong background in team leadership and management.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • An ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Strong logistics and warehousing expertise, with a talent for leading high-performing teams.
  • Preparedness to be hands-on when necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and a passion for working in fast-paced environments, where no two days are ever the same.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with the ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
