We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Developer to join our team in an SEO specialist role.


As an SEO specialist developer, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of technical SEO strategies and providing tech support for website updates related to SEO.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development combined with a solid background in search engine optimisation (SEO) principles.


This role will involve improving the SEO of our client's websites, while also maintaining and improving website functionality and design.


The candidate should also possess a strong technical background in working with various CMSes specifically with WordPress, Shopify, Magento and Wix platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain website code to ensure it is SEO optimised, user-friendly, and meets business needs.
  • Collaborate with the SEO team to implement on-site SEO changes to websites.
  • Evaluate and improve website design to ensure it is mobile-friendly, has optimal page speed, and meets other SEO requirements.
  • Resolve website issues and bugs, provide troubleshooting, and ensure optimal website performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Provide training to team members about up-to-date SEO-related coding practices.
  • Support in building and optimising pages for the website.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in website programming and SEO.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer (Min. 3 Years) with a strong focus on SEO will be a plus.
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of server-side languages like PHP, .NET, Python, or Ruby.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, browser behaviour and compatibility, and cross-browser optimization issues.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Magento, Shopify or Wix.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, or similar will be great.
  • Up-to-date understanding of SEO trends and algorithm changes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
