Job Title:

Environmental Sustainability Specialist


Our organization is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to play a vital role in shaping our commitment to protecting the environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental law and regulations, including Environment Acts, and possess experience in building construction with a focus on environmental sustainability.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory authorities, including site-specific environmental reports.
  • Ensure operational compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as NEA and EHS guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough environmental audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain high environmental standards, adhering to OHSAS 18001:1999 requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and monitor site clean-up plans, ensuring timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with environmental regulations and standards at the worksite. You will also coordinate regular meetings of the Environmental Control Committee to develop and implement effective environmental control programs.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Registration as a NEA Environmental Control Officer (ECO) is mandatory.
  • Possess registration as an ECMO, demonstrating expertise in environmental control.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building construction, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
  • Having a FSM certificate is highly desirable, indicating advanced knowledge of environmental regulations and practices.
  • Strong understanding of environmental law and regulations, including Environment Acts, is essential.
  • Include projects worked on in your resume to showcase skills and experience.
