Job Description

As an Environmental Health and Safety Professional, you will lead all activities related to process safety in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the maintenance of plant process safety information up-to-date.
  • Manage the environmental, health and safety (EHS) program and budget.
  • Approve purchases of EHS-related consumables and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Support major plant shutdown activities.
  • Maintain a register of compliance and monitor performance metrics.
  • Organize required assessments (e.g., stack emissions, IHM, noise).
  • Coordinate employee health assessments.
  • Lead risk and EAI assessments for any process changes.
  • Develop, review, and update EHS-related work procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Handle ad hoc EHS tasks as assigned.
  • Liaise with authorities for licensing or changes in hazardous substance limits.
  • Conduct incident investigations and report non-conformities to relevant authorities.
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external EHS training programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have:

  • A degree in EHS, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified WSH Officer (Level C).
  • Certified Confined Space Assessor and Work-at-Height (WAH) Assessor.
  • BizSafe Level 2 certification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in vendor management and ISO systems.
  • Familiarity with liaising with government agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level).
