Acquire and develop high-quality content projects, such as books and journals, through collaboration with authors and experts in various fields. This role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies to acquire new projects that meet the company's focus areas.
- Develop relationships with authors, academics, and researchers to identify potential content opportunities.
- Plan and execute editorial projects from manuscript receipt to finished product, working closely with freelance editors, typesetters, and designers.
- Manage contractual matters, including copyright clearances and foreign rights negotiations.
- Supervise and coordinate with freelance editors on specific projects.
- Work effectively on tight project timelines and optimize profitability through efficient project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure agreed-upon objectives are met through optimal project execution.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant departments and outside organizations.
- Coordinate publishing documentation and ensure timely progress reporting.
Requirements:
- Degree in economics, finance, business, political science, or related social sciences disciplines.
- Strong networking skills and ability to work independently.
- Bilingual with strong English and Chinese language skills (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar roles or fresh graduates with excellent communication and acquisition skills.
