Residential Technical Officer Job Description

The Residential Technical Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical and electrical works on residential projects.


  • Ensure that all mechanical and electrical works comply with contract specifications and drawings.
  • Maintain accurate site records and monitor contractor's progress, highlighting any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee that work meets standards and specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors to resolve site installation issues and maintain site safety.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A diploma or ITC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A National Certificate in Construction Supervision from BCA or equivalent will be advantageous.
  • Registration as a Resident Technical Officer accredited by IES/ACES.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building services, with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services and local construction practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for project updates and reports.
