Job Summary:The Technology and Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the General Manager to deploy the company's proprietary technology to subsidiaries operating under the Asia-Pacific Regional Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish smooth communication channels with managers of subsidiaries and offices in the APAC region, facilitating various matters related to the investigation, collection, and communication of technical information and the dissemination of the Company's proprietary technology.
- Contribute to advancing business operations to maximize the group's profits.
- Ensure the trends and needs in construction technologies used by projects in the APAC region.
- Evaluate and select the company's proprietary technology that contributes to operational efficiency, cost reduction, or carbon neutrality, and make a return on investment, including various costs related to deployment.
- Support procedures related to obtaining approval from the Japan headquarters when concluding various contracts with local companies to introduce the company's proprietary technology.
- Support procedures related to obtaining patents, design registrations, and trademark registrations by connecting Asian subsidiaries with the Japan headquarters to protect the intellectual property rights of company's proprietary technologies and technologies developed for local application.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Building, or Engineering disciplines or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years of experience in a global construction company.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in construction management, overseeing schedule and process management, quality management, safety management, and budget management.
- Experience managing all types of construction as Construction Manager or Building Technical Manager, including foundation work, main body construction, and finishing work.
- Hands-on experience leading document procedures with government agencies, negotiations with designers, and external partners/vendors in construction projects.
- In-depth understanding of international practices, laws, and regulations, including architectural intricacies, working drawings, FIDIC regulations, BS, ASTM, and LEED.
- Knowledgeable about contracts, intellectual property, and sustainability, including LEED, and their integration into construction practices.
- Business level Japanese skill of at least JLPT N1 or equivalent to ensure accurate communication on business development for building projects with the Tokyo head office in Japan.
- Willingness to undertake frequent overseas business travel.
