We are seeking a Senior Global Medical Excellence Leader to join our team at Takeda in Singapore or Zurich.
About the Job
The Senior Global Medical Excellence Leader will be responsible for driving strategic and operational alignment of Medical Excellence programs across global business units. This involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to develop training programs that build functional skills and behaviors, as well as identifying future business needs through industry trend analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to shape the strategic and operational alignment of Field Medical functions.
- Provide guidance and expertise to LOC medical excellence strategy and aligned processes in support of Field Medical activities.
- Lead the development and implementation of medical capabilities and related tools to provide a strategically aligned and consistent approach globally.
- Support global and LOC development of processes for synthesizing medical insights obtained during scientific exchange with external customers.
- Represent Medical Excellence within global medical affairs teams and provide insight and leadership on field medical capability, scientific insight processes, functional strategic objectives, operational priorities, etc.
Competencies and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Excellence. They should also possess strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in health or life sciences related field such as a PharmD, MD, or Ph.D.
- Eight years of healthcare or related experience (clinical practice, research, academic, or market access)
- Three years of direct/matrix managerial experience of individuals with an advanced scientific degree in a medical affairs or field-based group in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of strong strategic leadership, teamwork, innovation, project management, and demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and mentor individuals
Locations and Salary
This role is available in Singapore or Zurich and offers a competitive salary between $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
