Lab specialist role at Illumina Singapore Solutions Center involves working in a dynamic collaboration-oriented environment supporting both the Commercial and Service organizations.

Responsibilities include laboratory organization, inventory management, equipment calibration, record-keeping, lab reagent ordering, EH&S tasks, and ad-hoc support to other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laboratory organization including cleanliness and communal stock administration.
  • Maintain and organize inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with coordinating laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Track, order, and receive lab reagents and disposables.
  • Handle Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) related tasks.

Required skills and qualifications include experience working in or supervising a wet lab, conducting laboratory work for Illumina's library prep, sequencing, and microarray products, and possessing hands-on experience running Illumina's products.

Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Genetics or Molecular biology, with 2+ years of wet lab experience or a Bachelor of Science with 4+ years of wet lab experience.
  • Hands-on experience in successfully running Illumina's library prep, sequencing, and/or microarray products.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct laboratory experiments from planning through to data analysis.
