Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our quality control laboratory.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of laboratory assistants, assigning tasks, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring testing schedules and targets are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the daily operations of the QC laboratory and laboratory assistants
  • Assigning tasks, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring testing schedules and targets are met
  • Performing troubleshooting and leading investigations into quality issues and non-conformances
  • Monitoring in-process samples and liaising with production teams on corrective actions
  • Classifying final product and reworked lots
  • Preparing quality reports and identifying recurring problems
  • Training, coaching, and monitoring the performance of laboratory staff
  • Ensuring compliance with all laboratory operating standards and procedures
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in chemical or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in laboratory testing, specifically wet chemistry
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
  • Strong practical knowledge of lab equipment, including GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, and NIR
  • Experience with manual testing methods is essential
