About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Kernel and Algorithm Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a key member of our AI & Cloud Engineering (ACE) Division and Hybrid Compiler team, you will play a crucial role in developing a comprehensive AI Compiler strategy that delivers a highly flexible platform to explore new DL/ML model architectures, combined with auto-tuned high performance for production environments across a wide range of hardware architectures.

The team has been working on a cutting-edge AI Compiler framework that accelerates machine learning workloads on the next generation of AI hardware. You will be responsible for developing AI compiler frameworks to optimize machine learning workloads on various hardware architectures, working closely with AI researchers to analyze deep learning models and develop efficient compiler optimizations, and partnering with hardware design teams to develop compiler optimizations for high performance.

As a member of our team, you will apply software development best practices to design features, optimization, and performance tuning techniques. You will gain valuable experience in developing machine learning compiler frameworks and contribute to driving next-generation hardware software co-design for AI domain-specific problems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop AI compiler frameworks to optimize machine learning workloads on various hardware architectures.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers to analyze deep learning models and develop efficient compiler optimizations.
  • Partner with hardware design teams to develop compiler optimizations for high performance.
  • Apply software development best practices to design features, optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of industry-leading machine learning framework core compilers to support new state-of-the-art inference and training machine learning/AI accelerators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in C/C++, Python, or other related programming languages.
  • Experience in accelerating deep learning models or libraries on hardware architectures.
  • Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, etc.
  • Ability to speak and write in English at a business level.
  • Experience in intermediate IR such as LLVM.
  • Experience as a Product Owner of a scrum team is a plus.
