Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing effective Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and client requirements. This includes coordinating with project teams to develop and implement project-specific EHS plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective EHS procedures, policies, and programs for offshore power plant fabrication projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project-specific EHS plans.
  • Coordinate with departments to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with local EHS laws and client contractual requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics.
  • Manage permits, inspections, and audit records using digital EHS platforms.
  • Provide EHS training, orientation, and inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conduct risk assessments for high-risk activities.
  • Investigate incidents/near-misses using RCA methodologies.
  • Collaborate with contractors, clients, and regulators to resolve EHS concerns.
  • Report EHS performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years in energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of offshore power plant fabrication processes and associated hazards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in risk management and project coordination.
  • Familiar with local and international procurement regulations and standards.
Accreditation/Certification:
  • NEBOSH IGC/Diploma, OSHA 30, or equivalent.
