Job Summary

Citi is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Supplier Engagement and Onboarding efforts in Asia, Australia, and Japan. As Head, Supplier Engagement, you will be responsible for managing a large team of Supplier Engagement Managers, driving cross-selling of Embedded Forex, Purchase Order Financing, Deep Tier, and Dynamic Discounting to key suppliers, and spearheading Supplier engagement and acquisition in the clusters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Supplier Engagement Managers to ensure end-to-end supplier onboarding activities for global and cluster deals.
  • Drive cross-selling of Embedded Forex, Purchase Order Financing, Deep Tier, and Dynamic Discounting to key suppliers.
  • Be a thought leader in Supplier engagement and acquisition in the clusters.
  • Plug into the Fintech space in Asia and find the right partners complementing Citi's strengths.
  • Lead the delivery of global initiatives like PO financing, Dynamic Discounting, and Deep Tier Financing.
  • Oversee new supplier acquisition targets and scorecards for the cluster.
  • Provide senior supplier engagement support on large cluster/global mandates.
  • Drive the commercialization of digital strategy, including tools like Trade Onboarding System.
  • Comply with Internal Controls and Risk Monitoring.
  • Coordinate with Senior country/cluster Sales, Relationship Managers, Product, Implementation, Operations, and Service teams to ensure seamless Supplier engagement and onboarding.
  • Launch initiatives and projects in the cluster to simplify and streamline supplier onboarding.
  • Define and expand Business development for Trade SCF Suppliers.
  • Define and execute a joint marketing plan in close coordination with TCM leads and Trade Sales for expanding business with Suppliers.
  • Outline and implement digital marketing, webinars, industry forums, through leadership articles for outreach to new potential clients with the Supply Chain ecosystem.
  • Thought leader spearheading digitization exercise across clusters.
  • Sales and relationship background, as going forward our focus is relationship-driven approach with suppliers.
  • Manage team directly, simultaneously learning and implementing global best practices in the clusters.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in Trade/Transaction Services.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Experience managing across multi-functions or global business.
  • Experience managing in a large, complex, and matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of risk management, including credit risk.
  • Experience driving large transformation initiatives across multiple clusters.
  • Experience of process mapping, process improvement, and digital transformation.
  • Experience navigating Citi requirements to obtain NPAC, SIRR, GDR, and other required approvals for Business initiatives.
  • Knowledge of International Trade and competitor products/services.
  • Knowledge of strategic direction of the business and functions across regions combined with solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Master's degree is 'Good to Have'.
