Supplier Relationship Manager for Indirect Categories

As the Indirect Procurement Category Manager for Facilities, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Indirect Facilities Procurement team. In this role, you will oversee the global management of the facilities capital category and cultivate supplier relationships as the primary liaison for designated suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading external interactions with suppliers of facilities equipment and construction materials, employing advanced techniques and processes to ensure high-quality supplier support.
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as Global Facilities, R&D, and construction operations to recommend requirements and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Engaging in supplier performance management, global supplier coordination, and fostering healthy supplier relationships.
  • Developing and executing supplier strategies aimed at optimizing cost, supply, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting commercial supplier qualification activities to promote the strategic development of key suppliers.
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with suppliers while effectively addressing performance and capability issues to align with our strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring supplier compliance with corporate ethics, conduct programs, safety policies, and social responsibility initiatives.
  • Communicating significant supplier management updates and decisions to executive leadership.
  • Representing the voice of the supply base within Micron.
  • Formulating category strategies for each equipment segment while leading sourcing events and negotiations with a focus on savings and contract requirements.
  • Managing supplier performance and partnering with Global Facilities team members to create a comprehensive view of supplier effectiveness.
  • Collecting and communicating site-specific priorities to suppliers.
  • Overseeing overall strategic supplier relationships for the equipment category.
  • Collaborating internally to establish key performance metrics for strategic suppliers and monitoring their performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prioritizing and executing strategic supplier events, including business reviews and evaluations.
  • Providing market intelligence and pricing trends to relevant internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Utilizing should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked against the global marketplace.
  • Leading procurement efforts for offsite manufacturing and module categories while sharing insights with key partners to enhance planning and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Open to fresh graduates.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently with minimal supervision; strong project management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required.
  • Comfortable interacting with leaders and executives, with the ability to deliver presentations at the executive level.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
