The role of a Construction Financial Manager is crucial in the administration of construction projects. This professional contributes to the evaluation, negotiation, implementation, budgeting, and cost control processes, ensuring successful project delivery that meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Review and analyze construction plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project costs.
- Identify potential areas for cost savings and propose value engineering options without compromising quality.
- Prepare and submit accurate tender documents and bid proposals for contractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Oversee project financial performance, controlling costs throughout the construction process.
- Monitor progress, ensure work aligns with specifications, and verify compliance with regulations.
- Resolve disputes related to project costs, budgets, or financial agreements.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer software for cost estimating and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to negotiate and manage contracts.
- Understanding of risk management strategies.
