Job Overview

A Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in the success of construction projects, ensuring that costs are accurately estimated, managed, and controlled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation and Cost Control

Prepare detailed cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQs), and budgets to ensure accurate financial planning for projects. Monitor cost control, reporting, and payments to prevent overruns and optimize project outcomes.

Contract Management

Manage contracts, tenders, and procurement processes with precision, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Claims and Variations

Handle variations, claims, and final accounts with accuracy and efficiency, minimizing potential disputes and optimizing project cash flow.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results, foster strong relationships, and promote effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

Professional Experience

Proven experience in cost estimation, contracts (FIDIC, JCT), and procurement practices, with a strong track record of delivering results under pressure.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CostX, AutoCAD, or similar software applications, with excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
