Environmental Control SpecialistJob Summary:

You will play a key role in implementing and monitoring environmental management systems on construction sites. This involves vector control, earth control measures, and ensuring overall environmental compliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to implement and monitor environmental management systems, including vector control and earth control measures.
  • Identify potential environmental health hazards and recommend remedial measures to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain environmental compliance by developing a Site Environmental Control Programme for submission to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure facilities and equipment are functioning properly and do not pose environmental health risks.
  • Address environmental health irregularities and propose measures for rectification.
  • Submit fortnightly reports on site environmental control.
  • Collaborate with authorities to investigate infectious disease outbreaks on-site.
  • Organize campaigns and training sessions to promote good environmental health standards among workers.
Requirements:
  • A technician diploma from a relevant polytechnic.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the construction field (preferable in LTA projects).
  • NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
  • Proficient in Excel, PPT, and Word.
