Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Marine Underwriter. This exciting position offers a unique opportunity to work with us and make a meaningful contribution to our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new and existing Marine Cargo, Marine Hull and Freight Forwarders/Bailees Liability to achieve profitability. Additionally, they will develop and grow marine portfolio by generating new business within guideline and delegated authority.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing relationship with intermediaries/partners to achieve company goals
- Familiar with marine clauses, terms and conditions
- Demonstrates analytical skills, effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Provide training to clients/intermediaries on on-line policy issuance
- Ability to provide technical advice to clients/intermediaries/internal stakeholders
- Presentation/training to intermediaries and internal stakeholders
- Adhere to Underwriting guidelines, Compliance and Risk Management
- Provide guidance and coaching to support staff

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience handling Marine Cargo/Marine Hull/Freight Forwarders/Bailees Liability
- Knowledge of Marine insurance processes and policy wordings
- Proficient in MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint
- Possess at least the certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or any other equivalent qualifications ie AAII, ACII
- Meticulous, have an eye on details
- Self-motivated, disciplined
- Able to work independently
- A team player
