Job Title: Derivatives Trading Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Derivatives Trading Compliance Manager to join our team at ASIA PACIFIC EXCHANGE PTE. LTD.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Department in ensuring that our company operates in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential market misconduct and other behavior that may impact our operations of a fair, orderly and transparent market.
  • Review and implement frameworks, policies and procedures to enhance our trade surveillance and investigations of market misconduct.
  • Perform regular/daily tasks to monitor market activity, including analysis of trading alerts triggered for unusual transactions and orders, escalation of suspicious trading behavior for investigations and/or to the regulators, and review and update of alert parameters and logic.
  • Liaise with regulators and other law enforcement agencies on relevant matters when necessary.

Regulatory Compliance:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and strengthening our compliance culture, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures to monitor and enhance our internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations under the Securities and Futures Act, and maintaining effective communications and relationships with our regulators.

Corporate Governance:

Additionally, the candidate will assist the Corporate Secretary in matters related to corporate governance and the Board of Directors, maintain effective communications and relationships with our shareholders and the Board of Directors, and support other related functions undertaken by the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Department.

Requirements:

  • University degree from reputable institutions.
  • At least 3 years' relevant working experience in derivatives trading compliance or derivatives trading surveillance. Investigation/law enforcement background is a plus.
  • Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent Chinese proficiency.
  • IT literacy and ability to work with large datasets are preferred.

Salary: Estimated salary range SGD $80,000 - SGD $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
