Nanyang Technology University (NTU) School of Materials Science and Engineering seeks a talented researcher to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate has expertise in working with carbon and glass fiber composite materials, epoxies, fire resistance, and/or mechanical behavior of composites.

About the Role:
  • Work collaboratively within the project framework to achieve and exceed project objectives.
  • Primarily responsible for improving thermal insulation characteristics of epoxy-based composites used in construction applications.
  • Contribute to a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural team environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics.
  • Develop awareness of safety protocols when working with composites and fire protection materials.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required.
  • PhD holders preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of epoxy composite processing and fire retardancy principles.
  • Ability to comprehend insulation mechanisms and drive project outcomes within given timelines.
  • Significant experience in developing flame retardant materials, manufacturing epoxy composites, and testing fire resistance deemed advantageous.
  • Background in flame retardancy viewed favorably.
