Casino Dealer

Job Description:

The primary function of this role is to provide exceptional customer service and maintain the integrity of our gaming operations. You will be responsible for dealing assigned games, assisting with game observation and tracking play, as well as maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet and acknowledge casino guests, providing friendly and excellent service in accordance with Departmental standards.
  • Converse on a professional level in English with customers who approach the table area.
  • Deal assigned games according to Marina Bay Sands rules and procedures.
  • Remain up-to-date with changes as they occur.
  • Check and shuffle playing cards.
  • Protect the integrity of games through observation and reporting of any suspicious activity.
  • Read, verify and sign appropriate documents when necessary.
  • Demonstrate good chip work, float management, card handling, accurate payouts and other relevant dealing skills.
  • Comply with all regulations and standards related to Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.
  • Maintain impeccable ethical standards and report any breaches.
  • Proactively implement Responsible Gaming processes.
  • Declare conflicts of interest and abide by policies and processes related to such.
  • Contribute to a safe workplace by abiding by Work Safety and Health procedures and guidance.
  • Station at the Patron Verification Systems (PVS) kiosk as assigned, performing entry checks and premium status verification checks.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist Assistant Card Room Managers in delivering shuffled cards to the pits.
  • Assist Card Room Supervisors in checking and destroying used cards.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality guidelines and adhere to regulatory, Departmental and Company policies.
  • Keep all information on player identities and gaming action confidential.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Secondary education preferred.

Experience:

  • No experience required as training will be provided.

Other Prerequisites:

  • Simple knowledge of internet usage, Microsoft Word or Excel program.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations.
  • Memorize game rules and procedures.
  • Possess excellent customer relations, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to get along with fellow Team Members and work as a team.
  • Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons and overnight, as well as on public holidays.
