Job Description:

As a Compliance and Governance Expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring effective communication and training on compliance policies to all relevant stakeholders.

You will conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Additionally, you will monitor and report on compliance risks and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Your role will involve coordinating and supporting internal and external audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of audit findings. You will also regularly monitor compliance with policies and procedures, conducting compliance reviews and assessments.

Maintaining comprehensive records of compliance activities and providing regular reports to management on compliance status and issues are essential aspects of this role. Developing and implementing training programs to promote awareness of compliance issues among employees is also crucial.

To succeed in this position, you must stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting governance. Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements are key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit functions, preferably within the governance sector
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using compliance management software and tools
