Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Team Lead for MRO Excellence

Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum

Job Description:

  • About this role: We seek an experienced mechanical engineering professional to lead our team of technicians in delivering exceptional maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services to our esteemed clients.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in our MRO operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of skilled technicians in providing technical support and guidance on MRO projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  2. Develop and implement effective work estimation and tracking processes to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Collaborate with our engineering support section to design and develop innovative solutions for product maintenance, testing, and hardware/software integration.
  4. Manage and oversee MRO tasks allocated to the team, focusing on supporting commercial products, company proprietary items, and non-proprietary goods.
  5. Deliver tasks within stipulated timelines and budgets, prioritizing quality and customer satisfaction.
  6. Foster a culture of reliability and maintainability (R&M) within the team by promoting the use of tools like FMEA, thereby enhancing MRO effectiveness, reducing manpower requirements, and minimizing life cycle costs.
  7. Conduct thorough failure investigations, prepare detailed reports, and submit findings to relevant authorities for approval.
  8. Create comprehensive documents and engineering process plans to ensure compliance with operational requirements and safety standards.
  9. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and introduce enablers to improve MRO performance and quality.
  10. Participate in customer meetings to gain insights into their needs and translate these into deliverables where feasible.
  11. Train and develop technicians, assigning work, directing efforts, addressing complaints, and resolving conflicts in a fair and constructive manner.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in Component MRO in related industries.
  3. Effective leadership experience in managing teams of technicians.
  4. Advantageous experience in SAP System usage.
  5. Knowledge of Army systems will be an added advantage.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets.
  7. Competent in troubleshooting Engine, Transmission, or Gearbox systems.
  8. Strong understanding of mechanical/mechatronic systems.
  9. Familiarity with components testing and engineering drawing interpretation.
  10. Excellent communication skills and strong team player attitude.
  11. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  12. Good analytical and problem-solving skill.
