Lead, Content Developer Job Description

The ideal candidate will spearhead the design and development of high-quality eLearning courseware and digital learning content. They will oversee the production lifecycle of digital learning experiences, ensuring alignment with instructional goals, learner needs, brand guidelines, and technical standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead end-to-end digital learning content including eLearning modules, videos, interactive simulations, microlearning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Redesign content layouts based on provided UI/theme.
  • Generate voiceovers using machine voice generators.
  • Support project managers with accounting, consolidation, and signing off of work done.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Design teams to design and develop engaging interactive courseware for adult learners.
  • Perform video compositing and editing.
  • Conduct courseware testing.

Leadership Role:

  • Manage multiple concurrent eLearning development projects from concept to delivery, meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Lead a team of content developers as needed.
  • Define project scope, timelines, and production workflows.
  • Review and provide quality assurance for all deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, Interactive Design, Video Production, or related qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and creating eLearning courseware or using eLearning programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a lead or senior role, with a strong portfolio showcasing interactive eLearning and multimedia projects.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.
  • Technical competence in various development tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Microsoft PowerPoint, video/audio editing tools, etc.
  • Understanding of SCORM, xAPI, HTML5, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Knowledge of gamification and scenario-based learning in education.
  • Meticulous, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
